Artwork by Billy Ludwig
Created in 2019 during Ludwig’s early exploration of mixed media techniques, this untitled work incorporates a vintage Bourjois perfume advertisement alongside a cropped image from one of the artist’s earlier Marilyn Monroe pieces.
Abstract in nature, with subtle influences from Mark Rothko, the composition explores layers, texture, color, and tactile detail. The combination of vintage imagery and experimental processes creates a richly textured, one of a kind work.
A personal favorite, this piece has remained in the artist’s private collection since its creation and has never previously been offered for sale. It represents an important period in Ludwig’s artistic evolution and remains a point of reference in his mixed media practice.
A rare opportunity to acquire a deeply personal work from the artist’s collection. Availability may be limited, as the artist may choose to retain this piece.
